Genesis 44:1-45:28
Genesis 44 It would appear that Joseph is being hateful to them. Was he? Or was he testing them? Just imagine the turmoil these men were in.
Genesis 45:5-8 Joseph says 'don't be angry with yourselves'. Joseph's pure heart comes out loud and clear to his brothers. Joseph was able to see that 'all things turn out for good for those who love God'.
Genesis 45:15 True forgiveness
Genesis 45:16 Pharaoh was delighted-this is the favor of God. Remember earlier it said that the Egyptians did not like the Hebrews.
Genesis 45:17-19 Abundant favor of God via the Pharaoh
Genesis 45:24 'Don't quarrel'. Joseph knew the nature of the brothers.
Matthew 14:13-36
Matthew 14:14 Jesus healed because of his compassion. When people say that God does not miraculously today, they don't know what they are saying-they are saying that He does not have compassion today.
Matthew 14:16-21 Another sign of Jesus compassion. Plus the principle of multiplication. God does more than add, he multiplies. He gives us more than we deserve.
Matthew 14:22-32 Jesus did not abandon them, even if they felt He had abandoned them. Yes, Peter lacked faith, but he had more faith than all the other disciples. Notice Peter started drowning when he took his eyes off of Jesus.
Psalm 18:37-50
God gives us authority and victory over our enemies-addiction, sickness, depression, fear, lack of finances, etc. when we focus on being obedient to Him and give Him glory.
Proverbs 4:11-13
If we follow the instructions God gives us (His Word), we will not stumble.
