Why was ChristianBlogSites created?

Back in October 2005 my wife and I were ministering to a mentally ill couple on a regular basis. The husband had schizophrenia and the wife had scattered thinking, depression, and other diagnoses. When they would stay on their medication and focus on the Lord they were very caring people who loved the Lord. The wife (Joan) would always go out of the way to help us in ministry and bless my wife and I personally.

Joan was one who would take literally anything I would say, or she would 'key in' on something insignificant statement I would make and take some action based upon the statement.

Three years ago blogs were the big thing. Everybody was talking about blogs. I happened to mention that it was a shame that the technology was not being used for the kingdom of God in a greater way. I mentioned there should be some Christian blog sites. The next thing I know Joan gives me a Christian magazine talking about how there should be Christan blog sites.

Joan kept bugging me if I read the article and if I was going to start a Christian Blog Site since I was already doing web work. I thought, it would be a great idea but I just don't have the time. Joan kept bringing the topic up. I read the article and did a search on the Internet for Christian blog sites. To my amazement, there were no unique, specifically Christian based blog sites. I thought, either there is no need or no one has taken the time to create a Christian based blog site.

So, on a whim I decided to explore all the blog software that was available. There was very little available to create a multi-blog site and it all looked like it would take a long time to implement. Joan kept bugging me. So, I decided to jump in and create a multi-blog, muti-user, Christian blog site. I also made a decision that there would not be any annoying rotating ads, banner ads, etc.

So, now you the Rest of the Story. God can use anybody to accomplish His will. Yes, I believe it is God's will for a Christian based, no ads, blog site that uses the technology of today for His Kingdom.
