For some time we have needed to upgrade this blog site to the latest software. It is one of those things I hate having to do because of the time it takes, because the site will be down, and there seems to always be issues. However, the upgrade is overdo and we must get it done before the end of the month. Now it is time to share the bad news.

BAD NEWS
When the upgrade is done the site will be down from 12-48 hours. It looks like we may do this in the next week or two.

GOOD NEWS
The good news is that once we do the upgrade, there will be many benefits to make it all worth it.

1. Security fixes to make the site much less vulnerable to hackers-almost invincible. If nothing else, many steps ahead of the hackers.

2. Even more protection against spammers-but will still need all of you to help by installing anti-spam software.

3. Many more features including podcasting, moblogging, additional plug-ins to allow you to get more functions if needed, and faster opening and posting of pages.
