Commentary
Our commentary is in regards to people attempting weight loss, but it would apply in all areas of life where there needs to be change.

Many people get excited about different weight loss programs. They are all gung ho to apply the new things they have learned. But when the excitement wears off, they give up. It is because they have lived by feelings all their life. Others have been more persistent but they have allowed people, places, things, to interrupt their success. Others have been faithful, but they needed more support from others to keep pressing on-and they have let pride interfere in getting the help they needed. A very small amount of people who have a goal to lose weight, actually succeed. An even smaller number succeed and permanently lose weight.
The reality is that for some people they need to fail many times until they are tired of failing and they then take all the tools and resources available for them and go for it. It doesn't matter that they have failed in the past. What matters is that they have learned from their mistakes and they are moving forward. They now have an 'honest and good heart, and hold it fast, and bear fruit with perseverance'.
