We are excited to announce that one of the gentlemen we met during one of our homeless feeds will be sober for one year on 1/28.

When we met Terry he was your typical 'gutter drunk'. Terry was not only an alcoholic put a drug addict. He certainly did not look, smell, or act like a person who would be able to live a sober life.

How many of us can say thank goodness God sees more than our outside appearances.

Terry has been in outpatient treatment for the last year. He also has been treated for Hepatitis C and is cured of it (There is one strain of Hep C that can be treated. Most addicts/alcoholics do not make it through the treatment because it creates such emotional and mental havoc to their body, especially if they are just starting the recovery process.).

Terry was a backslidden Christian who is now serving God. He has helped us on various outreaches on Capitol Hill and attends our cell group each week.

Praise God for his year of sobriety. Sometimes we wondered if he would get this far. Anybody that knows about addictions, he has a long way to go, but he is headed in the right direction.
