Censorship

Here is a reason to be cautious. A person who posts controversial topics that are not based upon scripture and then starts name calling and making derogatory posts about other members is not reflecting the character of Christ.
I would recommend all members read our policies and guidelines. It is not our desire to censor blogs or posts. However, if individuals choose to write attacks against myself or other posters they will be banned. There is room for disagreements, but making derogatory statements that are obvious attacks are unacceptable. There is no way for any of us to know the heart of a person, so this is not a place to be sarcastic and attack a person's relationship with God or their knowledge of the Bible.
One of the features of our blogging service is the ability for a blog owner to not allow comments on a post or to delete a comment. We have no intention of removing this feature. There always is the possibility of someone posting something hateful, mean, etc. and an owner needs to be able to remove such posts. At the same time, if a blog owner is posting controversial topics and they remove the comment feature, they are themselves practicing censorship. This will be allowed to an extent unless the topic matter becomes strongly unbiblical to the point of heresy. There are plenty of other blog sites out there that allow you to post anything you want.
As the administrator of this site, I have the responsibility to determine if posts violate the polices and guidelines. If a blog owner finds this unacceptable, they need to post some place else.
If individuals want to have healthy debates with others, the forum/discussion board is a great place for this to take place. As long as there is respect, there is total freedom to disagree. The forum was designed to allow lively debates.
