We had a powerful encounter at church today. It was one of the best encounters we had. At least three people were filled with the Holy Spirit. One of the participants was a woman we have been working with who has been a stripper and drug addict. Needless to say she had much emotional pain, bitterness, unforgiveness. She completed the encounter with peace, joy, and believing God loves her and has a plan for you.

We are excited to announce we were able to rescue another individual from the streets. We will call her ML. She has been (new creation, right?) a prostitute (known by many in Seattle) and an addict. She is an amazing woman. (More)

Our main focus at The Hill for Jesus is for the Capitol Hill neighborhood of Seattle, but our ministry is not limited to Capitol Hill. We share the message of hope, give counsel, provide practical help wherever there is a need in the Capitol Hill neighborhood, local jails/prisons, the public arena, the Internet, and via telephone. We have helped to get drug dealers and addicts off the street, people into detox and treatment centers, individuals going back to church, stopped people from committing suicide, feed and clothed the homeless, and much more.

Once a month we preach at the Snohomish County Jail. After we preach we always give out our toll-free number and let the men know we are available to help them grow in Christ when they get out and we let them know where we attend church. They all know we are willing to only work with those who are serious about making life changes. To be honest, 95% of the time, we never receive a call.

Do you know someone struggling with drug addiction. They can walk in victory, they can be set free. I had shared about Terry who has been clean for almost a year. He was an alcoholic, but he was also a heroin IV user and a cocaine/crack addict.

I want to take a minute to talk about someone else we have worked with and seen beat drugs. His name is Larry. Larry has become a great friend.
