We now have on the Summary page, a Bible Verse for the Day at the top of the page.
On the bottom of the page we have a Quote for the Day.

I had someone request a subscriber feature for the blog site. This would allow individuals to subscribe to your blog. So whenever you added a post to your blog they would be notified by e-mail.

I might be able to come up with a script to do this.  I may have to pay a programmer to make the script fully functional.

Let me know if you would like this feature. If enough people respond saying they want this feature I will make it available at no charge to the blog community.

Why was ChristianBlogSites created?

Back in October 2005 my wife and I were ministering to a mentally ill couple on a regular basis. The husband had schizophrenia and the wife had scattered thinking, depression, and other diagnoses. When they would stay on their medication and focus on the Lord they were very caring people who loved the Lord. The wife (Joan) would always go out of the way to help us in ministry and bless my wife and I personally.

Joan was one who would take literally anything I would say, or she would 'key in' on something insignificant statement I would make and take some action based upon the statement.

Now that a certain blogger who was spewing hateful comments and being antagonistic, judgmental, and prideful is gone, hopefully the complaining e-mails I was also receiving will stop.

I want to say thank you to all of the CBS bloggers out there who are able to walk in self-control even though all of us would acknowledge it is hard to 'hold our tongue' at times. Thank you for showing respect to other bloggers even if you disagree with them at times.

It is hard being the tough guy at times, but I have a responsibility to keep anybody else from thinking it is their job to be the 'gatekeeper' of this web site. Thank you to those who have sent me positive e-mails.

I know this site would be better if I had more time to manage it, but I think all bloggers would agree that it is nice to have a Christian site that does not have ads, banners, etc. that may promote products or concepts that are in violation of our Christian beliefs. It is my heart to never have ads on bloggers sites-even if they were Christian ads.

If there is anything that you think I should do to improve this site, then feel free to post a comment. Feedback is always helpful. As time and technology allows I will try to implement anything that would be helpful for the overall CBS blog community. (More)

There is a blogger who has insinuated that I am implementing discriminatory censorship and pushing my authority around. At the same time they say this blog site is not Christian enough. Which is it?

So, it probably is time to inform blog site users my policy in dealing with blogs.

In almost 3 years we have 'censored' 2-3 blogs. Now we have immediately deleted mmany blogs that are obviously advertising, sexually explicit, etc.

I have no time to read all the blogs. I scan the blogs and see if anything jumps out. I also depend on those who are reading the blogs to inform me if there is a user or blog that would be considered un-Christlike.

Because someone chooses to journal and not use scriptures or not do Bible Studies on this site does not make it a less Christian site. If a person wants to only post recipes it does not make it less Christian.
