Exodus 8:1-9:35
Exodus 8:5-8 The entire land was covered with frogs. This does not say the same thing happened with the magicians. It just says they made frogs come up out of the land. Was this demonic power, or just a great magic trick?
Here is what we know, that the land was covered with frogs from Aaron's deed, and the magicians could not make the frogs go away.
Exodus 8:18-19 The fact that the magicians could not duplicate the gnats would make it appear that the previous deeds were tricks.
Exodus 4:1-5:23
Exodus 4:1-7 Moses had to know that God was giving him miraculous power
Exodus 4:8-17 Why in the world would Moses be concerned about how he speaks? We are just like Moses-God does something amazing in our life, and 5 minutes later, when things get tough we question if God is with us.
Exodus 4:21 God would not literally harden the heart of Pharaoh. What God would do is perform miracles that He foreknew Pharaoh would reject. Each miracle would be an opportunity for Pharaoh to let the people go or harden his heart.
Exodus 4:24-26 One of the hardest passages to understand since it is so brief, yet so direct. Here is what some have said about it:There may well have been a long debate in this household over whether their son would be circumcised or not. (God's will was circumcision.) Perhaps Zipporah argued that the operation struck her as repulsive. Moses may have countered, "But God commanded that we must circumcise all of our male children." In order to keep the peace, however, Moses may have let the matter drop and risked disobeying the command of God. Zipporah jumped in.
Exodus 4:30 Moses performed the signs before Israel, however later on Israel gets angry at Moses and questions if God is with him.
Genesis 50:1-Exodus 2:10
Genesis 50:3 The Egyptians hated the Hebrews yet they mourned over the death of Jacob-another sign of the favor of God
Genesis 50:16 Joseph's brothers never learned to trust in God.
Genesis 50:19 Joseph understood the concept of vengeance is mine saith the Lord.
Genesis 50:20 God takes tragedies and turns them around
Genesis 44:1-45:28
Genesis 44 It would appear that Joseph is being hateful to them. Was he? Or was he testing them? Just imagine the turmoil these men were in.
Genesis 45:5-8 Joseph says 'don't be angry with yourselves'. Joseph's pure heart comes out loud and clear to his brothers. Joseph was able to see that 'all things turn out for good for those who love God'.
Genesis 45:15 True forgiveness
Genesis 45:16 Pharaoh was delighted-this is the favor of God. Remember earlier it said that the Egyptians did not like the Hebrews.
Genesis 45:17-19 Abundant favor of God via the Pharaoh
Genesis 45:24 'Don't quarrel'. Joseph knew the nature of the brothers.
Genesis 42:18-43:34
Genesis 42:24-25 Joseph began to weep, Joseph returned their money-this shows he had no grudges against his brothers.
Genesis 42:34 Reuben shows his pure heart
Genesis 43:14 '...if I must lose my children so be it.' As much as Jacob loved his children, he knew and was willing to do the right thing even if it meant losing his two sons.
Genesis 43:26-28 This was a fulfillment of he dream that Joseph had
Genesis 43:33 This had to blow them away

Genesis 41:39-44 Joseph received favor because of his faithfulness to God and being a vessel for God
Genesis 41:57 Talk about authority
Genesis 42:7-17 Without reading the rest of the story it would appear that Joseph was having vengeance on his brothers, but he wasn't
Genesis 39:1-41:16
Genesis 39:2-9 When we have the favor of God, we have the favor of man. We need to make sure we do not sabotage that favor by irresponsible behavior. Joseph behavior is an example fo us.
Genesis 39:7-18 There will always be individuals that will want to interfere with what Go is doing in our life-there will be people that want to take us down. There will always be temptations-we need to resist. God has better for us.
Genesis 39:19-23 When you have the favor of the Lord, evne when life is not fair, God will make it fair. He honors our faithfulness because He is faithful.
Genesis 40:8 Notice that Joseph know where the gift of interpretation came from.
Genesis 40:20-23 God confirms our gifting. He will reveal that we are led by Him.
Genesi 41:1 'Two years later'. God's blessings will come, but sometimes they take time. Joseph was faithful during this 'waiting period'.
