What To Do?
administrator | November 27, 2009 06:10

I really need to decide what to with ChristianBlogSites. Every month for four years I have been incurring expenses with this site. When I had full-time employment it was not an issue. With no employment it is becoming an issue.

Several months ago, against my own policy, I started putting a banner ad on the sites. The ad promotes buying gift cards (not greeting cards) and other items at discounted prices. Buy 4 gift cards get 1 free, discounted pricing on thousands of products, free shipping. What more can we do? We are helping people to save money on items they are already buying and yet no purchases whatsoever.

Someone asked if they could make a donation, so we put a donation button. Still no funds have come in.

ChristianBlogSites Donations Button
administrator | November 09, 2009 05:50

Someone asked me if they could make a donation to ChristianBlogSites without buying anything. The answer is yes.

I have put a PayPal Donate button on my blog. Go to http://administrator.christianblogsites.com/blog and the Donate button is on the bottom of the left column. Any donation amount is greatly appreciated.

If each blog owner donated $8 a year our expenses would be more than covered.

Help Support ChristianBlogSites-Buy Gift Cards
administrator | November 05, 2009 07:10

ChristianBlogSites has been a free blog service for the Christian community for over 4 years. All expenses have been absorbed by me, the owner and administrator of CBS.

Just like many others, I received a large pay cut back in January 2009. As of October 2009, I no longer receive a salary from my church (I now volunteer my time as the Outreach Pastor). As of November 2009 I am also the Program Director of two Discipleship Houses (I do not receive a salary-but I do receive free rent).

It is my desire to keep ChristianBlogSites free, but I need your help.

Discipleship Apartment Looking Better
administrator | November 03, 2009 05:50

We got the apt painted, new carpet, flooring, new blinds, new ceiling tiles, and a door on my office area. The apt looks much better. Russ, the owner, is going to redo the entryway/utility room so that it is more welcoming.

Carmi and I moved into the apartment last Saturday. We had some great volunteers, so the move itself went well. Along with moving our stuff to the apt we were able to make a dump run with all the junk that had been at both houses. So thankful for all the help we had during this move.
